The Dynamic Duo Of Employment Law

Howard Levitt and Brian Grosman once went Toe-to-Toe as successful trial lawyers in the courtroom. But when the opportunity to work together arose, the fit was irresistible.

Howard Levitt & Brian Grosman are both authors of seminal employment law texts and both have successfully argued significant cases across Canada at every judicial level including the Supreme Court of Canada.

Mr. Levitt articled at what was then McCarthy & McCarthy, spending most of that year working exclusively for John J. Robinette, viewed by many as the top Canadian Lawyer of the 20th Century. He worked for thirteen years as a Partner at the national law firm Lang Michener LLP before opening Levitt LLP. Mr. Levitt reached out to Brian Grosman to create the most winning and experienced employment law firm in Canada.

Brian Grosman began his career as a criminal defence lawyer and federal prosecutor. He practiced civil litigation in Toronto and Ottawa before joining the Faculty of Law at McGill University. He is the founding chairman of the law reform commission of Saskatchewan and was a full professor at the University of Saskatchewan Faculty of Law.

Mr. Grosman returned to Toronto as the Founding Partner of an employment law firm, advising corporate employers and executive employees. He has pioneered the field of employment law with several ground-breaking cases and has acted for many of the world’s largest corporations and their most senior executives for over 30 years.

The firm Levitt LLP merged with Brian A. Grosman, Q.C. in January 2014 to form Levitt & Grosman LLP. The practice continually grows to address every aspect of Canadian Labour and Employment law.
